Sunday morning worship at 9.30 caters for all ages, with a mix of contemporary and traditional song, varied instruments, uplifting prayer, engagement with the Biblical text, and the opportunity to share good coffee and good company afterwards.
Under it all
All our worship services are supported by a diverse group of musicians, coordinated by our musical director. A small but dedicated choir meets fortnightly on Tuesday nights at 7.30. Both the instrumentalists and the choir enhance and extend the congregation’s worship beyond the spoken word.
Specifically for families with children, Fun@five happens February to December on the third Sunday of each month, at 5pm. With craft, stories, song, sharing and dinner, it's a chance for families to spend time together and explore Christianity in a playful way.
Craft and conversation, story and song, sharing and eating, all together as a family. Fun@ five is a great opportunity to create memories and build relationships with other families. Not only that, you get to do all this and be fed and home before 7.30!
In Spring and Autumn, on the third Wednesday of the month Wednesday Rest takes the form of a Taizé-style service, with sung meditative chants, silent prayer and brief readings. Come, light a candle, sing a chant and let peace fill your heart.
Singing and silence
Music is vital to worship in the Taizé community, with simple chants in many languages a well-known feature of the gatherings there. Silence is also a feature, and both silence and song are central to our Taizé-style services.
The third Tuesday of each month provides the opportunity to participate in a short, intimate, and traditional but informal communion service, starting at 1.30 pm and concluding with afternoon tea. Come to be fed in spirit and body.
A Midweek meal
Equal parts worship and fellowship, the Tuesday Communion services provide an opportunity to attend communion for people who miss the monthly Sunday morning or who have difficulty attending on Sunday mornings.
