Back on track, timewise at least.

Reading: Mark 2:23-3:19

‘The Sabbath was made for humankind, not humankind for the Sabbath’. I suspect I should remember this verse more often than I do. Sabbath time, a significant chunk of time set aside to rest, reflect, worship, pray and to not work, requires discipline to create. But taking time to rest from our labours is a gift God gives us, not a burden God loads on us, and the time that is taken out from being ‘productive’ can refresh and uplift.

Right. As soon as I’m finished with the busyness of my life, I’ll definitely make time for Sabbath. Oh wait…
