Holy Week Labyrinth

During Holy Week, a labyrinth will be available in the front yard of the Church to facilitate personal reflection, prayer and meditation. Anyone who is interested is invited to come and walk the labyrinth as part of their daily exercise, while observing social distancing rules. Only one person may use the Labyrinth at a time, only as part of an exercise walk, and if there are other persons present, everyone must maintain a distance of 2 metres.

Labyrinths have been used by Christians for centuries as a kind of pilgrimage – a physical and spiritual journey which changes you as you walk it. Painted on the grass, this labyrinth will have an inward and outward journey, with written information along the way to allow participants to engage with the readings and images, as well as places to rest.

The labyrinth will be open for 24 hours a day, so participants are invited to walk it at their own pace, engaging as much or as little as they are comfortable with. Guidance on how to best use the labyrinth will be available for those who would find it helpful.
